Embark on the Golden Tour of Kanchenjunga, an 8-day journey through the enchanting landscapes of Sikkim and Darjeeling. Begin with 3 nights in Gangtok, where you’ll explore vibrant monasteries, serene lakes, and panoramic viewpoints. Continue to Lachung for 1 night, where the pristine beauty of the Yumthang Valley awaits. Then, spend 1 night in Pelling, home to breathtaking views of the Kanchenjunga range and historical sites. Conclude your adventure with 2 nights in Darjeeling, experiencing the famous tea gardens, the iconic “Toy Train,” and the stunning sunrise over the Himalayas. This tour offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural richness, and serene experiences in the heart of the Himalayas.
Itinerary
Our representative will receive the guest from NJP / IXB parking area and transfer to Gangtok Hotel. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
After breakfast by 09.00am, our excursion start for Tsomgo Lake and New Baba Mandir (After completing the permit formalities. Back to Gangtok city for late Lunch around 03.00 -04.00 pm.
Optional tour to Nathula Pass (Alt 14000Ft / 4200M) on China Border can also be arranged (Except Mon) for Indian Nationals only with 2 Days Advance Request at an additional cost. (Permit for Nathula Pass is subject to availability)
Documents need to carry: Original id proof + 02 Photocopies + 02 Passport size photos. (Pan Card & Aadhar Cards are not acceptable)
After completing permission formalities Transfer to Lachung (10 am). On the way have your Lunch at Mangan on your own. Enjoy en route sightseeing. Overnight stay at Lachung hotel.
Yumthang is popularly known as 'Valley of Flowers. Early morning drive to Yumthang Valley (Alt 11925Ft / 3575M), an Alpine flower valley in North Sikkim. Enjoy the scenic landscape and Hot spring.
Optional Excursion to Yumesamdong or Zero Point (At an Additional charge) Return to Hotel for Lunch.
Lachung to Gangtok, 125kms in 6hrs
Check out from Lachung hotel and drive back to Gangtok. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Gangtok to Pelling, 130kms in 4.30hrs. Enroute you can add Namchi (Chardham) at an extra cost. Overnight stay at Pelling hotel.
Pelling Local tour in Pelling starts with visit popular tourist points – Sky walk, visit Pemayangtse Monastery, Helipad View Point, Rabdentse Palace Ruins. Depart towards Darjeeling. Overnight stay at Darjeeling hotel.
Early morning 4.00am, your tour starts with visiting Tiger hill sunrise point. Back to hotel and get refresh. After breakfast visit most famous tourist points including Darjeeling Zoo, Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Happy Valley Tea Estate (Outer view), Tenzing Rock, Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee center (Closed on Sunday) and Japanese temple & Peace pagoda. (Timing 9.30 to 2.30). Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
